Is Friends of Toto affiliated with any professional pet care organizations?
Yes. Friends of Toto is proud to be a member of the International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA), a leading organization for professional pet care facilities.
Is your facility secure and safe for dogs?
Yes. Our indoor and outdoor play areas are fully enclosed with secure fencing to help keep dogs safe during daycare and boarding stays.
Does Friends of Toto have emergency and evacuation procedures?
Yes. Our team is trained on emergency evacuation procedures, and evacuation plans are posted throughout the facility to ensure staff can respond quickly if needed.
Is your facility climate controlled?
Yes. Our newly renovated 18,000-square-foot facility is fully climate controlled with air conditioning and heat to keep dogs comfortable year-round.
Dog Daycare & Boarding
How do you group dogs during daycare?
Dogs are grouped based on size, temperament, and play style to help create safe and enjoyable playgroups. Every dog is evaluated to ensure they are placed in the best environment for their personality and comfort level.
What is your staff-to-dog ratio?
Our daycare playgroups are supervised at a ratio of no more than 15 dogs per staff member, with smaller group sizes common throughout the day.
Will my dog stay in a crate overnight?
No. Overnight boarding guests stay in private suites unless dogs from the same family stay together. Crates are only used in emergency situations and are never used for overnight boarding.
How often are dogs taken outside?
Daycare dogs enjoy supervised outdoor play multiple times throughout the day. Boarding guests also receive regular outdoor breaks in our secure play areas before bedtime and again in the morning.
Health & Care
Are staff members trained in pet safety?
Yes. Our team members are certified in Pet First Aid and Pet CPR and receive additional training in dog behavior and handling.
Can you administer medications to my dog?
Yes. We can administer medications during your dog’s stay. Owners are asked to provide clear instructions at check-in.
Do you monitor my dog’s eating and behavior?
Absolutely. We closely monitor eating habits, behavior, activity levels, and overall wellness during each stay. If we notice anything unusual, we contact the owner immediately.
Grooming
Do you offer dog grooming services?
Yes. We offer professional dog grooming services in a dedicated grooming space designed to create a calm and comfortable experience for your pet.
Vaccinations & Policies
What vaccinations are required?
Before attending daycare or boarding, dogs must provide proof of current:
- Rabies
- Bordetella
- DHLPP or DA2PP vaccinations
These requirements are mandated by the City of Pawtucket.
Are there breed restrictions?
Due to insurance policy requirements, we are currently unable to offer daycare or boarding services for Pit Bull Terrier breeds.
